Back soon! Invicta Juniors training to resume in April
As the UK continues on the path out of Covid lockdown, Invicta Junior players are counting down the days until they can lace up and return to the ice. And it isn't long now.
Providing the government's targets for the continued suppression of coronavirus are met, the country will enter the next step of easing restrictions on 12th April. This will allow Planet Ice Gillingham to reopen and provide skating lessons, patch and hockey practice for under-18s.
This means the Invicta Juniors will be able to resume training from Tuesday the 13th of April, being one of the first groups to skate on the rink's freshly laid ice. Training times for each age group will remain the same as they were before the latest lockdown in December.
UNDER 9 Thursdays, 6pm - 7pm
UNDER 11 STAMPEDE Thursdays, 7pm - 8pm
UNDER 13 WILD Thursdays, 8:15pm - 9:15pm
UNDER 13 CHARGERS Tuesdays, 6pm - 6:55pm
UNDER 15 MAVERICKS Tuesdays, 7:10pm - 8:05pm
UNDER 18 BRONCOS Tuesdays, 9:35pm - 10:30pm
UNDER 18 COLTS Tuesdays, 8:20pm - 9:20pm
Training will resume at Stage 4 of the EIHA's Return to Play plan, meaning that training can proceed largely as normal and friendly matches will be allowed. Invicta Junior age groups from Under 11 and above will be playing in the Planet Ice Cup from 25th April. Please check in with your team managers for any questions about training and upcoming fixtures as we look to welcome you all back. It's been too long.
