Free training for new Under 9 players announced
Now is the best time to begin your hockey journey
Invicta Junior Ice Hockey Club is delighted to announce that first year training fees will be waived for new Under 9 players. This offer applies to players born in 2012 or later that have not been previously registered with a hockey club elsewhere.
Usually the training fee for the Under 9s is set at £35 per month, but with new players eligible for free training for the 2020/21 season now is the perfect time to take up the fastest team sport in the world.
Players will be subject to EIHA registration fees and will need to demonstrate the requisite skating skills to join. But Planet Ice's Hockey Excellence courses can help the kids along the way. For more information see our Join Us page here or email Invicta's Under 9 manager Tom Hoggins at email@example.com.
The Under 9 Invicta Buckaroos play in cross-ice (mini-game) tournaments against three other opponents in a round-robin format, with back to back three games per day. Cross-ice games ensure that players are able to better develop their skating skills and touch the puck more frequently. Games are 4 vs 4 with a goalie that last 21 minutes with players changing over every 75 seconds.
Scores are not registered or recorded in any Under 9 games. The aim of the game is to have fun, improve skating skills and establish a love for the great game of ice hockey.
