The Under 9 Invicta Buckaroos kick-started the 2017/2018 season with at afternoon of passionate and exciting ice hockey. A great turn-out at Silverblades Gillingham from family and friends of players ensured the Bucks received plenty of support.
The Buckaroos played a full Under 9 squad, which enabled the cross-ice round-robin tournament to take place with the Invicta Whites and the Invicta Blues playing alongside Lee Valley and Streatham, after Slough unfortunately had to pull out.
Both Buckaroo teams showed great spirit and grit whilst having lots of fun on the ice. The Invicta teams' had many new players making their debuts alongside the more experienced boys. It was a fantastic tournament and an amazing start to the season!
Congratulation to Harry Foreman, who was awarded Man of the Match for the Invicta Whites team.
For the Invicta Blues the Man of the Match award went to Josh Fielding.
The Spirit of the Match pucks went to Chelmsford 'guestee' Daniel and to Charlie Duncan-Woolard (an all-Star goal-tender in the making).
Well done to all players and a massive THANK YOU to all of the brilliant and very vocal supporters, who ensured the players had a fantastic day!
The rest of the coming season promises to be a great one and the Buckaroos' next game is away at Slough on Sunday 1st October with the opening game starting at 4:25.
LET'S GO BUCKAROOS!!!!!
